In clang version 21.1 and later the -Wimplicit-enum-enum-cast warning
option has been introduced. This warning is enabled by default and can
be used to catch .queuecommand() implementations that return another
value than 0 or one of the SCSI_MLQUEUE_* constants. Hence this patch
that changes the return type of the .queuecommand() implementations from
'int' into 'enum scsi_qc_status'. No functionality has been changed.

Both helpers are reading the partition table of the disk specified
by block_device of some partition on it; result depends only upon
the disk in question, so we might as well pass the struct gendisk
instead.

This patch updates the scsi_fc_transport.rst documentation by replacing
the outdated << To Be Supplied >> placeholder under the "FC Remote Ports
(rports)" section with a detailed explanation of remote port
functionality in the Fibre Channel (FC) transport class.
The new documentation covers:
- What rports are and their role in FC-based SCSI communication
- Their representation in sysfs (/sys/class/fc_remote_ports/)
- Common sysfs attributes such as (port_id, port_name, node_name, and
port_state).
- Their typical lifecycle (creation and removal)
- Guidance for driver developers on using fc_remote_port_add() and
fc_remote_port_delete()
This change improves the completeness and usefulness of the FC transport
documentation for developers and users interacting with Fibre Channel
drivers in the Linux SCSI subsystem

If the value read from the file is 1, reads and writes from/to the device
are blocked because the tape position may not match user's expectation

these functions don't exist. They have been replaced by more meaningful
names.
Update one driver (megaraid_mbox.c) that uses "scsi_unregister" in a
warning message. Update scsi_mid_low_api.rst to eliminate references to

Because scsi_finish_command() subtracts the residual from the buffer

Some documents that listed on subsystem-apis have 'Linux' or 'The Linux'
title prefixes. It's duplicated information, and makes finding the
document of interest with human eyes not easy. Remove the prefixes from
the titles.

Commit 6600593cbd ("block: rename BLK_EH_NOT_HANDLED to BLK_EH_DONE")
made it impossible for .eh_timed_out() implementations to call
scsi_done() without causing a crash.
Restore support for SCSI timeout handlers to call scsi_done() as follows:
* Change all .eh_timed_out() handlers as follows:
- Change the return type into enum scsi_timeout_action.
- Change BLK_EH_RESET_TIMER into SCSI_EH_RESET_TIMER.
- Change BLK_EH_DONE into SCSI_EH_NOT_HANDLED.
* In scsi_timeout(), convert the SCSI_EH_* values into BLK_EH_* values.

Updates to the usual drivers (ufs, qla2xx, target, lpfc, smartpqi,
mpi3mr). The main driver change that might cause issues on down the
road is the conversion of some of our oldest surviving drivers to the
DMA API (should only affect m68k). The only major core change is the
rework of async resume; the rest are either completely trivial or for
updating deprecated APIs.

UFS storage devices require bRefClkFreq attribute to be set to operate
correctly at high speed mode. The necessary value is determined by what the
SoC / board supports. The standard doesn't specify a method to query the
value, so the information needs to be fed in separately.
DT information feeds into setting up the clock framework, so platforms
using DT can get the UFS reference clock frequency from the clock
framework. A special node "ref_clk" from the clock array for the UFS
controller node is used as the source for the information.
On the platforms that do not use DT (e.g. Intel), the alternative mechanism
to feed the intended reference clock frequency is necessary. Specifying the
necessary information in DSD of the UFS controller ACPI node is an
alternative mechanism proposed in this patch. Those can be accessed via
firmware property facility in the kernel and in many ways simillar to
querying properties defined in DT.
This patch introduces a small helper function to query a predetermined ACPI
supplied property of the UFS controller, and uses it to attempt retrieving
reference clock value, unless that was already done by the clock
infrastructure.

The SCSI core code does not currently support reserved commands. As such,
requests which time-out would never be reserved, and scsi_timeout()
'reserved' arg should never be set.
Remove handling for reserved requests, drop the wrapper scsi_timeout()
as it now just calls scsi_times_out() always, and finally rename
scsi_times_out() -> scsi_timeout() to match the blk_mq_ops method name.

The ISA support in Buslogic has been broken for a long time, as all
the I/O path expects a struct device for DMA mapping that is derived from
the PCI device, which would simply crash for ISA adapters.
